Form or function, motion or forced movement. Breaks and bends always find their way into my structure. The whiplash, causing continual pieces of shapes and colors to break away from their starting points feel natural. As an artist, we sometimes confine ourselves to the spaces we have been given or create confinement for ourselves within an open landscape.

Graffiti in its most traditional form is the letter. Here, is one of several foundation studies I have been completing over the last several months. These pieces are a result of breaking down the letter structure. These are just fragments of shapes left for the viewer’s interpretation. A minimalist approach which allows a deeper connection.
